Assignment 4

 This is a photo from last summer. This is my oldest jumping off of the slide. I cropped the picture and adjusted the hue and saturation.

Here is my light painting picture. This is the taillight on my motorcycle in the garage. I cropped the picture an adjusted the hue, saturation and color balance. It reminds me of the light bikes on Tron. I definitely want to experiment with this more when it is darker again.

Assignment 3

  This is my current youngest on the Easter train.

 This is an eagle and the cliffs that rung along the Seward Highway.

 This is a view of the inlet from the coast off of Anchorage. I like the way the clouds look in this picture. I tweaked the colors on this one. I think it looks cool. Kind of old.

This is my oldest child on the Easter train. He's kind of silly.










I'm not exactly sure what my "voice" is yet. I love taking pictures of my kids but I also really enjoy pictures of the beautiful Alaskan scenery.

Assignment 2

 This is a photo of Cook Inlet from a bluff in my neighborhood. We like to drive down that street and admire the view, which is much better on a clear day.

 This is my front yard after a night of snow. This was taken squatting down in my doorway so that I wasn't shooting from above everything.

 This is the Parks Highway heading into the main part of Wasilla on a beautiful "spring" day.

This photo was taken last summer at my parents house. Those are my two boys in the horse arena with Pioneer Peak in the background. I played around with this one a little bit. Adjusted the layers and increased the saturation and vibrance.

Assignment 1

 I chose to offset his face in this picture. I chose to use black and white because all the colors in the blanket and sweater were too distracting. I cropped out some of the image so that the focus would be more on his face. I picked this picture of him sleeping because it is one of his rare calm moments. I chose this picture because he looks so cute. I chose to kneel down when I took this picture so that I would be closer to his level instead of towering above him.

 I chose this picture because it is very telling of the little copy cat relationship the little brother has with big brother. I cropped the picture to remove some of the background. I tried to blur the background some but it is still pretty busy. I had my older son pose for this picture, and little monkey followed along. I chose to not have either boy centered in this picture. I didn't edit any of the color in this picture because it is pretty accurate.

 I chose to use this picture of my "dog person" because he is in a pretty cute position. I cropped the photo to get rid of some extra background stuff. I adjusted the saturation and vibrancy which brought out more of the golden brown in his coat. He is in his "natural environment", my house. I chose to take this picture from above so that you could see how he is kind of twisted. I had him offset in the picture because, apparently, that makes for better pictures.

 I chose to center his face in the picture. I took a close up picture of his face with just enough background to know what the environment was. I took the picture using the natural light. I chose this picture because I really liked the expression on his face as he was climbing up the hill. I did not tell him to pose for the picture.I edited the color taking out some of the blue.
